FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
In my opinion, the industry of helping has been in me for as long as I can remember. I can recall being the voice of reason in high school with friends and advocating for my peers in college. Each transition in my life came as a result of wanting to help more. I ended up in private practice as a counselor and life coach after deciding I want to help more individuals and of all ages so I transition from being an elementary school counselor to private practice. After a few years in private practice I decided I would like to help those that may not seek out help individually and this lead me to speaking and training more.
Putting myself in position to learn in any and all settings has helped in my acquisition of experience. Being willing to look at personal and professional triumphs and tragedies as teaching moments adds depth to my experience that isn't available in a classroom. However, my classroom experiences prepared me tremendously so that the above could manifest.
My inspiration is drawn from many sources for many reasons. One being myself. I've grown to a place mentally and spiritually to be excited about where I am and the journey to get here. when I take time to reflect the excitement leads me to the next space. Another is my brother that can only be with me in spirit as his physical presence ceased in 1996. When things get hard and I'd rather not pursue the next thing, I remind myself that I am here and I can!
